Tom Speelman is a writer, editor and proofreader with a passion for both publishing and journalism. Graduating from Calvin University in 2015 with a dual major in Literature & Writing, he embarked on twin freelance careers as an entertainment journalist and publishing professional almost immediately.
As a journalist, his work has been published on Polygon, Comic Book Resources, ComicsAlliance, Crunchyroll News and in the pages of Back Issue, RetroFan and PanelXPanel magazine.
As a publishing professional, he's worked as editor, copyeditor and proofreader on over 100 published titles, mainly in the English-language manga industry. His clients include Seven Seas Entertainment, J-Novel Club, Cross Infinite World, Kodansha Comics and Manga Mavericks. He has also worked with several self-published authors to help make their work the best it can be while fully supporting and executing their vision.
In his personal life, he enjoys exercising, reading and travelling.
